《Resident, or Resident Evil, or This Minor Contextualisation of a Minor Temporality Known as Publishing on the Run》的主體被審核、校對,被編輯為一部自2021年12月7日至2022年4月13日期間的書信體檔案。
The body of Resident, or Resident Evil, or This Minor Contextualisation of a Minor Temporality Known as Publishing on the Run has been reviewed, collated, and edited as an epistolary archive of the period from 7 December 2021 to 13 April 2022. As a portrait of the dual identities of precarity and privilege during pandemic-era travel, it reveals the complexities and complicities of its author, who writes under various names to a sprawling network of friends, employers, and collaborators—sometimes in the realm of administrative labour, at other times reflective, radically intimate, or chatty. The volume compiles various short writings, e-mail correspondence, excerpts from other books the artist was reading at the time, and other print-worthy documents.
Each book is wrapped with detritus paper including magazines, newspapers, circular advertising, and posters collected by the artist, and were first presented as part of a same-titled installation featuring excerpted pages from the book in a 1990s Americana home setting.
